The DAK-2ULTMVP is a ready-made dual-zone drive-thru alert kit with two ULT-MVP loop detectors, two inductive loops and an LED beacon with buzzer, pre-wired in one enclosure. Suited to drive-thru applications with a separate order and pickup point.
Model: DAK-2ULTMVP
Type: Dual-zone drive-thru alert kit, loop detection
Kit contents: 2x ULT-MVP loop detector, 2x PR-46-100 inductive loop (100 ft), 1x LED beacon with buzzer, power supply, NEMA 1 enclosure
Detector power range: 12 VDC to 240 VAC, auto-adjusting
Mains supply: 120 VAC
Sensitivity levels: 10 per detector
Frequency settings: 4 per detector
Relay outputs: 2 per detector (presence + loop fault/pulse/DETECT-ON-STOP)
Special feature: detection only once stopped on the loop
At a drive-thru with multiple points of interest, such as a separate order display and pickup window, a single detection zone isn't enough. Staff need to know not just that a vehicle is present, but also where exactly in the process that vehicle is. The DAK-2ULTMVP is built for exactly this scenario: two independent detection zones, each with its own loop detector, connected to one shared alert system.
The kit includes two inductive loops with matching loop detectors, an LED beacon with buzzer, and a power supply, all pre-mounted in a single enclosure. For the installer, this means most of the wiring and configuration is already done before arriving on site: only the mains power, the two loops in the pavement, and the beacon still need to be connected.
The two ULT-MVP loop detectors included automatically adjust from 12 VDC up to 240 VAC, simplifying installation across different electrical environments without separate power configuration per detector. Each detector offers ten sensitivity levels and four frequency settings to prevent crosstalk between the two loops, with a built-in display showing the optimal sensitivity setting.
A relevant feature for tight drive-thru layouts is that the detectors only respond once a vehicle has actually come to a stop on the loop, rather than triggering on passing traffic. That prevents false alerts in situations where lanes sit close together, for example where the queue and the through lane meet.
Both detection zones send their signal to the same LED beacon with buzzer, so staff can see and hear in one place which stage of the process a vehicle is in. That's more practical than two separate signalling systems side by side, especially in an environment where staff are already handling multiple tasks at once.
The DAK-2ULTMVP is mainly used at fast food restaurants with a separate order and pickup point, banks with a two-stage drive-thru process, and car washes where both the queue and the actual service point need to be detected separately. For operators already using a single-zone kit but needing a second detection point, this kit offers a ready-made expansion without having to combine separate components.
