Without remote control and status alerts, a gate quickly raises doubt: is it really closed after you've left? The iSmartGate MINI Gate Kit connects an existing gate motor to Wi-Fi, enabling remote control and status checks via smartphone.
The MINI controller connects to the existing motor and links via Wi-Fi to the free iSmartGate app. From the app you open and close the gate remotely and get a notification whenever the status changes.
Thanks to integration with Google Home, Amazon Alexa and IFTTT, voice control is possible, along with automations like closing automatically when leaving a set location. The kit can be expanded with a wireless contact sensor or wired contact sensor for reliable gate status detection, including on sliding and swing gates.
Under the hood, the MINI controller runs on a 64Mbit PSRAM / 16MB SPI Flash system and connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) with a 2401 MHz receiver frequency. It has 1 relay output for the gate and 1 dry contact input for a wired sensor, and is powered via an included adapter (110-240V AC to 5V1A DC) — for gates without a nearby outlet, the DC/DC power adapter is a practical addition.
Applications are mainly homes, driveways and smaller business premises with one gate where an affordable, straightforward entry-level solution is wanted.
