For installations with intensive use, or where a battery-powered sensor isn't desired, a wired sensor offers extra stability. The iSmartGate Wired Contact Sensor detects open/closed status via a magnetic contact point and sends it directly, over a cable, to the iSmartGate controller.
Because the sensor doesn't depend on a battery, there's no need for periodic battery replacement — practical for doors and gates used multiple times a day. The waterproof design is suitable for both indoor and outdoor mounting.
The sensor has a 9-metre cable and is rated for a maximum switching power of 10W (max. 100V DC switching voltage, 0.5A switching current / 1A operating current) — more than enough for the dry contact input on the iSmartGate PRO controller. Mounting is straightforward with double-sided tape.
The wired contact sensor is universally applicable: from sectional garage doors to roller gates and outdoor fences, in combination with the iSmartGate MINI, LITE and PRO. This makes it a suitable choice when one sensor type is wanted for multiple door types at a single site.
Applications include garages and entrances with intensive use, and installations where a wired, low-maintenance sensor is preferred over a wireless, battery-powered version.
