The sensor delivers a solid-state output and features the same exclusive Detect-On-Stop™ technology found across the ULT range: detection only occurs once a vehicle has actually come to a stop on the loop, preventing false triggers from passing traffic. With 10 sensitivity levels and 4 frequency settings, the ULT-PLG can be precisely tuned to the existing loop configuration. The ULTRAMETER™ display shows the optimal sensitivity setting directly, speeding up on-site installation and troubleshooting.
For installers and service technicians, this is a strong argument in the replacement market: rather than redesigning an entire loop detector unit and its wiring, the ULT-PLG simply drops into the existing board slot. That saves time on-site and reduces the risk of wiring errors.
